The Opportunity:
Immerse yourself in cutting-edge technologies while serving as a strategic technical advisor to energy clients. As a fusion engineer on our team, you will support the development of new technologies for fusion energy systems by providing advice and guidance on the design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector sponsored Research and Development (R&D) programs. Your insights will also help inform our clients about emerging technology needs. You will engage and collaborate with a group of technology experts to leverage rapidly maturing technologies from other sectors to further energy technology development. Join our team and help guide the energy sector towards sustainable solutions. This position is located in Washington, DC.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research pertaining to plasma physics and fusion energy systems
  • 2+ years of experience researching gyrotrons or beam energy physics
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Doctorate degree

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
