Detailed Description
The Senior Lead Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
  • Support development of production test strategies based on product design specification
  • Develop test plans and requirements for customer products including both hardware and software elements
  • Lead the procurement, qualification, and installation support for manufacturing for a large customer
  • Be accountable for the test process optimization with a focus on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield within a CFT or across a large equipment set serving multiple customers
  • Provide project leadership, including management of (and communication with) team members, suppliers for comprehensive test deployments including structural, functional, system, stress and final test applications for a large customer
  • Support sales process by providing support to the quoting process.
  • Work with Design to enhance solutions with feedback from product testability, test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics and user experience.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
  • Lead and drive complex problems related to product yield or test performance
  • Support sales process by providing support to the quoting process.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Project Management - Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions. Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, financial and people aspects of the project. Able to create a project/change management plan and ensure that the project is delivered within the assigned time and budget. Ability to recognize project barriers and develop mitigation plans
  • Leadership - Demonstrate "People & Team Leadership Behaviors" as per Celestica Leadership Imperatives.
  • Financial Acumen / Business Planning - Ability to create financial plans for your projects, align them internally with your line of management and other functions and externally if needed. Create project plans, profitability calculations, risk and sensitivity analysis, able to recognize barriers and mitigate profitability risks.
