The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring CK Supply operates in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing the storage, transportation, distribution, and handling of compressed gases, dry ice, and related products. This position oversees regulatory compliance programs, maintains required documentation, conducts audits, and works closely with management to promote a culture of safety and regulatory excellence.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to:
    • S Department of Transportation (DOT)
    • Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
    • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
    • OSHA
    • Compressed Gas Association (CGA)
    • Special permitting
    • State and local agencies
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and insurance compliance, and communicate updates to the management team
  • Develop, maintain, update, communicate, and train company compliance policies, procedures, and programs
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies
  • Maintain compliance records, permits, licenses, and required documentation
  • Perform internal compliance audits and inspections of company facilities and operations
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, training, and regulatory documentation
  • Work with Operations, Transportation, Sales, and Warehouse personnel to ensure regulatory governance across all departments
  • Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements, including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors
  • Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words
  • Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in trucking, industrial gases, manufacturing, or chemical distribution
  • Working knowledge of:
    • DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR)
    • FDA regulations applicable to medical gases
    • NFPA Codes & Standards
    • OSHA regulations
    • State regulatory requirements
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to walk in a warehouse, fill plant, and distribution facilities
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
