OverviewThe Global Compliance Specialist works closely with the  Director of Compliance to conduct training and internal compliance reviews of US and International operations to ensure the effectiveness of Ormat’s compliance program.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, managing, and carrying out reviews and testing of compliance with Ormat’s compliance policies.
  • Conducting internal investigations related to whistleblower complaints as necessary.
  • Assist with developing performance and quality metrics to measure program effectiveness and to identify anomalies.
  • Responsibilities related to managing the reviews include:
    • Scheduling and coordinating annual reviews and training at international operations;
    • Prepare comprehensive reports on the results of reviews for presentation to the Chief Compliance Officer;
    • Providing analysis and recommendations for improvement to Compliance team.
  • Preparing and delivering compliance training to various departments as required.
  • Assist with conducting due diligence reviews of third parties and assessment of G&H and donation requests as may be required from time to time.
  • International travel required, up to 25%.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' related education or experience required.
  • Experience with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and/or ABAC compliance strongly preferred.
  • Experience or background in auditing or conducting internal reviews and investigations preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to include excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, demonstrating effective skills for tracking workflows and work plans.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with global colleagues as well as third parties.
  • Must be comfortable working in a multicultural and multi-lingual environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to effectively perform the job duties. Additional languages preferred, but not required.
  • Must have high level of integrity, discretion, judgment, and the ability to multi-task.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in an office environment.
  • The ability to work at a computer and computer monitor for long periods of time and stay alert.
  • This position requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
