Job description


  • Report to the Chief Financial Officer and serve as a core member of the Compliance function

  • Own BSA/AML, sanctions, KYC/KYB, regulatory reporting, and compliance testing programs

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on compliance initiatives

  • Lead recurring and ad hoc audits through completion and execute post-audit remediation, including process, reporting, and system changes

  • Assist with SOC2 controls and other SOC requirements

  • Serve as the daily primary compliance liaison for the external issuing bank partner

  • Create, maintain, and improve compliance documentation, policies, and SOPs

  • Partner with the BSA Officer to develop internal compliance training, track training, develop assessments, and ensure team readiness

  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to update tools and workflows for regulatory and partner requirements

  • Bridge compliance, business, and technical teams to integrate compliance processes into day-to-day operations

  • Partner with the Senior Operations Manager on the Onboarding tool development roadmap and automation of customer information capture

  • Research and report unusual activities and fraud-related activities to banking partners, network partners, and authorities

  • Liaise with customer leadership regarding non-standard charges or merchants identified in transaction reporting, including MasterCoverage claims escalation and follow-up


Requirements

  • Manager candidates: 5-7 years of experience with compliance, risk, or regulatory

  • Analyst candidates: 3+ years of experience with compliance, risk, or regulatory

  • Familiarity with commercial card programs and fintech strongly preferred

  • Manager candidates: Deep knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC/KYB, OFAC, sanctions, suspicious activity reporting, and broader regulatory frameworks

  • Analyst candidates: Working knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC/KYB, OFAC, sanctions, suspicious activity reporting, and broader regulatory frameworks

  • Ability to quickly pick up new concepts

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities with precision

  • Data-fluent and tech-savvy, comfortable leveraging tools and systems to identify compliance risks and optimize workflows

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of drafting clear compliance documentation, reports, and training materials, and interfacing with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Proven ability to partner effectively across compliance, operations, engineering, and external partners

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • CAMS, CRCM, or other compliance certifications preferred

  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States

  • Must be able to commute to the Seattle office on a weekly basis
