What You'll Get To Do:
  • Leads the month-end close process, including preparation and management of journal entries, financial reports, cash flow analyses, and monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Supports audit processes and Form 990 reporting by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Contributes to the development and enforcement of internal controls, policies, and workflows to strengthen financial integrity.
  • Serves as the ERP and accounting systems lead and super user, responsible for system maintenance, optimization, and end-user support.
  • Monitors evolving accounting guidance; conducts research on new or complex transactions and recommends actions to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assists with budget and forecast development, including supporting leaders with preparation and ongoing monitoring.
  • Supports enterprise risk management activities, including tracking organizational risks and assisting with insurance program administration.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures to manage risk and strengthen internal controls.
  • Prepares external reports for Goodwill Industries International, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies, as required.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and leadership to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Participates in departmental goals and projects, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Need From You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a GAAP accounting role is required.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
  • CPA experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
  • At least an intermediate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to other locations is required.
