Job description

PURPOSE: Assistant Store Managers are responsible for assisting the Store Manager to drive sales, ensure high levels of customer service, and solve complex problems. Assistant Store Managers act as role models of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision-making at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Fulfill the duties and responsibilities as noted in Store Associate job description.
  • Greeting customers when they enter the store.
  • Assumes responsibility of total store operation when acting as Manager on duty.
  • Responsible for helping build and maintain a professional team of Associates.
  • Shopping and studying competition to identify trends and develop new ideas
  • Ensuring customer concerns are solved effectively and promptly.
  • Delegating tasks and following up to ensure task completion.
  • Observing and providing feedback of all Associate performance to Store Manager.
  • Help develop and sustain high morale.
  • Assisting in running a high-volume store.
  • Takes proactive roll in establishing and carrying out shrinkage control.
  • Ensures store-level compliance with all company policies.
  • Enforce and participate in all aspects of cleaning and stocking.
  • Must be able to all paperwork.
  • Must be at work on time and available at any time.
  • Determine, prioritize and distribute work assignments to associates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a problem-solver and solution finder.
  • Neat in appearance, tough but nice, and follow all the rules at all times.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work 40 hrs per week, overtime if needed.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to stay calm in any situation.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Must have high-school diploma.
  • Must have at least 2yrs retail experience.
