GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Provides assistance in the coordination of inside sales and services activities involving receipt and preparation of customer orders, manufacturer purchase orders and customer quotations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares accurate price quotations and bids as requested by customers. Obtains stock pricing and non-stock pricing from manufacturer and/or agent. Collaborates with Supervisor and/or Manager-Sales regarding strategy and profit margin.  
  • Prepares orders received via email, telephone, mail or from Field Rep. Enters customer orders with careful attention to assigned stock numbers, item descriptions, pricing, customer numbers, PO number, etc.  
  • Prepares and enters direct-shipped purchase orders, assists field sales representatives in maintaining personal contact with customers. Assists field sales rep with problem solving.  
  • Communicates and strategizes with Purchasing Manager and Logistics Manager regarding stock pricing and transportation requirements.  
  • Acts as backup to sales coordinator personnel when any of the coordinators are away from their assigned work area.  
  • Provides assistance on special projects and assignments outside of assigned account responsibility.  
  • Maintains legible customer files that includes the following: original quote request, quote response, copy of non-stock or blanketed pricing and documented customer correspondence.  
  • Promotes AECI Utility Sales division and department brand. Communicates professionally with all customers with an understanding of the unique cooperative business model and the seven Cooperative Principles.  
  • Takes initiative to learn and expand knowledge of electric utility infrastructure materials and their application.  
  • The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.  
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.  
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.  
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONT'D
  • Sales Coordinator II: Fully functioning professional with at least 2 years of relevant experience who performs standard sales coordination duties with limited guidance.
  • Senior Sales Coordinator: Experienced professional with at least 6 years of relevant experience who handles complex assignments, works independently, provides guidance to others, and contributes to process improvements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Sales Coordinator II: High School Diploma plus 2 years related sales experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Senior Sales Coordinator: High school or GED plus 6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid driver's license.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Willingness to learn additional knowledge of basic AC electricity and of utility infrastructure materials. Required to obtain review of quotations by Supervisor or Manager-Sales for quotes that exceed $25,000.
