Job Title:

Third-Party Operations Manager

Location:

What you'll do:

As a Third-Party Operations Manager, you'll partner with business lines and third parties to support adherence to the Third-Party Risk & Controls (TPRC) program. In this role you'll provide senior level oversight and execution of complex and centralized operations, process improvements, and strategic initiatives. This role partners closely with Third-Party Managers, Risk Control Partners, and Business line stakeholders. may provide day-to-day guidance and oversight for Operations Professionals

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead and manage multiple complex operational and cross functional projects, including process redesign, technology enhancements, and regulatory support initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of Operations personnel and may have a small team to lead. Operations processes include document collection, contract repository management, procedure documentation, quality control and assurance testing, technology enhancements, department and enterprise third-party risk reporting, etc.
  • Drive operational consistency, issue resolution, and continuous improvement in Third-Party processes and controls.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and drive planning, prioritization, and execution of departmental objectives.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and issue remediation activities.
  • Review and approve critical documentation, written materials, procedures, job aids, and internal communications.
  • Develop, support and/or deliver TPRC presentations, reporting, and materials for committees, audits, exams, and governance forums.
  • Assist with training, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness across the team.
  • Provide oversight for central mailbox operations, ensuring timely response, appropriate routing, and consistent resolution of requests.
  • Review and guide complex inquiries (e.g., NDAs, IRQ questions, scoping discussions), escalating items for leadership decision as needed.
  • Conduct analysis across third-party engagements with similar characteristics to confirm consistency in evaluation of similar engagements.
  • Resolve questions or concerns from TPRC resources, other stakeholders, or business resources.

What you'll need:

  • 6+ years of related experience in Third Party / Vendor Risk Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Advanced experience managing multiple concurrent projects and delivering assignments to completion in accordance with defined instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
