Lead Culinary Excellence at Kinsale Golf Club!

Kinsale Golf Club is seeking an innovative and experienced Executive Chef to lead all aspects of our culinary operations. This leadership position is responsible for directing kitchen staff, developing creative menus, ensuring exceptional food quality, managing budgets and inventories, and delivering outstanding dining experiences that exceed member expectations.

The Executive Chef will play a key role in shaping the club's culinary vision while fostering a collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.

Job Duties:
  • Plan, develop, and execute menu for restaurant, ensuring creativity, quality, consistency, and alignment with member expectations.
  • Develop and standardize recipes, portion controls, and presentation techniques to maintain consistent food quality and control costs.
  • Approve food purchasing specifications, requisitions, and evaluate vendors to ensure quality, pricing, and consistency standards are met.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise the work of culinary staff.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budget; project annual food, labor, and operating costs; monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct food inventories, including china, glassware, and silverware inventories.
  • Implement controls to minimize food waste, supply loss, and theft while maximizing productivity and profitability.
  • Ensure kitchen area is maintained to the highest standard of sanitation, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce cleaning and maintenance schedules for all kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff, emphasizing culinary excellence, safety, and sanitation.

Leadership amp; Service Standards
  • The Executive Chef works closely with the Front of House Management Team to maintain exceptional service standards and operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in ensuring culinary operations exceed members’ expectations while supporting the club’s service culture, and financial objectives.
Education/Experience
  • A degree or college diploma or equivalent in food and beverage management and/or hotel management for minimum 3 years is preferable.
  • Food hygiene certificate.
  • Supervisory experience working in a high-quality restaurant/establishment.
  • Experience in managing people and motivating a team.
  • Health and safety experience is desirable.
  • Preferably candidates have experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Banquet Chef, or Executive Chef within the Restaurant or Private Club Industry
