On-Site Regulatory Compliance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for forecasting, scheduling, and directing day-to-day operations to meet targeted production and sales volumes

Establish and manage goals, objectives, budgets, and timelines to maintain quality standards and profit margins

Develop strategic growth projections and plans to anticipate and prepare for future product requirements and improvements

Assist with development, management, and monitoring of standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing costsย 

Develop strong relationships internally and externally with customers, vendors, and senior leaders within the organization

Coordinate and collaborate with other business units and complex managers in establishing and implementing company initiatives

Support and implement management decisions regarding strategy of the organization

Develop annual budgets; review and compare actual results to planned budgetary performance; report results to management

Accountable for complex expense management with a focus on enhancing profitability

Assist with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities

Assess product, compliance, and operational risks and develop risk management strategies for the business unit

Maintain safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety and health policies and procedures

Work with FUI environmental and quality teams to ensure daily compliance with all regulatory bodies and internal standards including, but not limited to supplier material quality, finished product, wastewater, air, and stormwater

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks

Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance

Travel up to 20%, annually

Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.ย 

Qualifications

5+ years of proven managerial experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

Bachelorโ€™s degree in related field, preferred

Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise

Ability to create accountability and lead by example

Ability to function as an effective project manager and team leader to manage resources according to changing needs

Strong team building, communication and decision-making skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite โ€“ Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Microsoft Business Central, preferred.

Adaptability to learn new business systems and software required for efficient plant operations

Maintain and promote a safe working environment

Ability to work in a facility that processes multiple species including cows, pigs, and poultry

Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes

Physical Requirements

Perform desk work (sitting or standing) for up to 50% of workday

Repetitively use wrist, hand, and/or fingers

Consistently to walk/tour plant facilities on a regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly, etc. as SOPs dictate)

Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
