The Systems Analysts is responsible for maintaining the entire hotel network.  Responsible for auditing all user and applications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the PC network - Install software and hardware on the various PCs in the hotel.  Add/remove users' information on all systems hotel wide.  Create and issue procedures for network PC use.  Configure and install new equipment (i.e. PCs, modems, printers etc.)  Install and administer Network Operating Systems.  Upgrade or install various software packages used by hotel team members.  Provide technical support to our users and guests.  Troubleshoot research and resolve PC based software errors.  Terminate network cabling.  Perform preventative maintenance on PCs and printers. 20%
  • Provide support and manage local network, including network switches/routers, Active Directory accounts, and all network equipment. 35%
  • PC Inventory/User Audit - LAN Administrator is responsible for maintaining a current PC hardware inventory hotel wide.  She/he also performs quarterly audits to ensure that the user's PCs have only the software authorized by the IT department.  Must perform quarterly user account audits and report to home office.2%
  • Training Classes - LAN Administrator should teach basic and intermediate computer classes to employees of the hotel.1%
  • Intranet Web Site - Responsible for updating intranet web site  5%

  • Management and operation of: Retail POS and F&B POS (Micros)
  • Knowledge of network architecture, system design, PC hardware knowledge.
  • Effective organization and communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of software and hardware operating systems to include: Windows OS, PBX systems and other OS'
  • Management and operation of: PMS, F&B POS, PBX voice mail/Call Accounting, Human Resource information, Payroll, Accounting, Purchasing and Inventory control, Sales/Catering(Delphi), MS Office administration, Network Operating Systems, and the HotSOS system
  • Knowledge of network architecture and system design
  • Perform software/hardware audit on a consistence basis
  • Update hotel intranet site and all associated forms
  • Must be knowledgeable in network cabling and terminations
  • Troubleshoot, research, and resolve PC based hardware and software errors
  • Knowledge of email systems. I.e. Lotus Notes/Outlook
  • Knowledge of smart devices

Education: 

  • College degree

Experience: 

  • 3 years previous experience in a large hotel or business.

Licenses or Certificates: 

  • Certification or equivalent experience as one or more of the following: Certified Network Engineer, Microsoft A+
