The Head of Field Marketing North America is responsible for the strategic leadership, planning, and execution of localized marketing initiatives to drive demand, support sales, and enhance market presence in specific regions within the Life Science, Pharma, or Diagnostics industry in North America. You will build and develop a high-performing team of Field Marketing Managers to ensure the effective adaptation and implementation of global marketing programs, manage local events, and cultivate crucial relationships with Key External Experts (KEE).

This position reports to the head of Global Commercial Marketing and is part of Global Marketing and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead North America Field Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute regional field marketing strategies and localized market activation plans that align with corporate growth objectives, adapt global campaigns to local market needs, and maximize commercial impact across the BioPharma, Diagnostics, Academic and Government Research markets.
  • Drive Pipeline Growth and Commercial Performance: Own regional marketing pipeline contribution and demand generation outcomes through integrated campaigns, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives, events, and targeted customer engagement programs to increase the visibility to target customers that generate qualified opportunities, accelerate opportunities, and support revenue growth.
  • Partner with Commercial Leadership to Accelerate Growth: Serve as the primary marketing partner to our Vice President Sales Americas and our Regional Sales Team Leaders, translating business priorities into actionable marketing plans, providing sales enablement support, and ensuring strong alignment between marketing investments and commercial objectives.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer and Market Engagement: Lead the execution of regional events, workshops, seminars, trade shows, customer programs, and omnichannel engagement activities while building relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), strategic partners, and influencers to strengthen market presence and customer advocacy.
  • Provide Market Intelligence and Voice of Customer Insights: Gather and communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, market trends, pricing changes, and regional business insights to Product Management, Global Commercial and Strategic Marketing, and Commercial Leadership to inform strategy, product positioning, and future growth opportunities.
  • Manage Marketing Operations, Budget, and Performance: Oversee regional marketing planning, budget management, lead management processes, SFDC utilization, and marketing performance measurement, ensuring efficient resource allocation and clear visibility into ROI, pipeline contribution, and business impact.
  • Support the Full Customer Lifecycle: Develop and implement programs that drive customer acquisition, adoption, retention, expansion, and advocacy, creating a seamless customer journey across digital, virtual, and in-person engagement channels.
  • Build and Develop a High-Performing Field Marketing Organization: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Marketing Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while strengthening organizational capability through coaching, talent development, and succession planning.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A university degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related scientific/medical field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of dedicated experience in sales and/or marketing, with significant experience in field marketing, specifically within the Life Science, Pharma, or Diagnostics industry, preferably in leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience in planning, executing, and evaluating the effectiveness of local and regional marketing campaigns and events (e.g., workshops, trade shows, customer seminars) relevant to our industry, combined with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in measuring campaign and event performance, including clear ROI assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and leverage regional market insights and customer feedback specific to the Life Science, Pharma, and Diagnostics sectors.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for effective cross-functional team and external partner engagement.
  • The ability, mindset, and drive to actively adopt and scale Artificial Intelligence solutions in order to simplify current processes, enhance speed, and sustainably improve operational efficiency.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - the position requires up to 40% travel, potentially with overnight stays, for team meetings, local events, customer visits, or regional partner engagements within the Life Science, Pharma, and Diagnostics ecosystem.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Utilizing project management tools, marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Direct sales support or sales enablement experience within the Life Science, Pharma, or Diagnostics field.

The annual salary range for this role is around $160,000 to $180,000 depending on experience. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
