The ideal candidate will blend analytical rigor with strong communication skills to translate market, customer, and competitive insights into clear guidance for executives, GTM, and product teams. The duties of the position will require you to support our market intelligence function, partnering closely with leaders across the company to inform strategy, positioning, and revenue planning.

The position requires experience in B2B SaaS or data/analytics markets, comfort working with quantitative and qualitative data sources, and demonstrated ability to present complex findings in an accessible manner. Successful candidates will have proven experience in market or competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or related roles, and be eager to design and refine repeatable reporting and communication rhythms. The position is located on-site in Perrysburg, Ohio and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Position Duties:

Competitive and Market Intelligence

  • Own ongoing monitoring of competitors’ product changes, pricing, positioning, funding events, customer logos, and GTM motions using a mix of public and third‐party sources.
  • Build and maintain “living” competitor profiles and snapshots tailored for executives, sales, and product, ensuring information is current and decision‐ready.
  • Synthesize competitive insights into clear POVs on differentiation, risks, and opportunities, and support enablement content for sales and customer‐facing teams.

Market Sizing and Segment Prioritization

  • Quantify TAM, SAM, and SOM for key product lines, using third‐party data, industry reports, and public filings to build robust, transparent models.
  • Define and refine priority segments based on demand signals, win/loss analysis, retention data, and pipeline trends.
  • Partner with Finance to connect market models to revenue planning and scenario analysis, including annual and multi‐year plans.

Customer, Segment, and ICP Definition

  • Analyze customer behavior, adoption, and retention to sharpen our ICP and buying committee archetypes across priority segments.
  • Build and maintain segment and persona dossiers that inform product roadmap, pricing/packaging decisions, and campaign targeting.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to validate hypotheses through customer interviews, surveys, and qualitative feedback.

Reporting and Communication Rhythms

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports that surface key market, customer, and competitive metrics in a clear, actionable format.
  • Run a regular “Market & Competitive Intelligence” briefing for executives and GTM teams, highlighting trends, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Support leadership with ad‐hoc analyses, board‐level materials, and strategic narratives that rely on market and competitive context.

Internal Collaboration and Enablement

  • Work closely with Science, Professional Services, Marketing, and Sales to ensure insights translate into messaging, positioning, and roadmap decisions.
  • Assist GTM teams with strategic deal support where competitive or market intelligence can materially impact outcomes.
  • Communicate ideas for improvements to our market intelligence tooling, processes, and data sources to your direct manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
  • 2–5 years of experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, strategy, product marketing, or a closely related role in B2B technology or data/analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience building market sizing models and segment frameworks that influenced strategic decisions.
  • Experience working cross‐functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance teams in a high‐growth environment.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, including comfort working with spreadsheets, AI and BI tools, and third‐party data sets to build and validate models.
  • Ability to distill complex market and competitive information into concise narratives and visualizations for non‐technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with common B2B SaaS metrics (pipeline, win/loss, retention, expansion, ARR) and how they relate to market dynamics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
