Job description

We are seeking an innovative Senior Product Manager to lead the launch of Gaia’s platforms. In this strategic role, you will craft immersive experiences that deepen member connections, amplify engagement, and contribute to personal growth. Your leadership will shape the way our community interacts, learns, and grows – enhancing member satisfaction, fostering deeper connections, and driving the success of our mission. If you are a visionary product leader passionate about community-driven experiences and conscious media, Gaia is the place for you to shape the future of digital connection.

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Gaia’s platform, driving initiatives that foster meaningful member interactions, including discussions, events, and user-generated content. Partner with marketing and growth teams to integrate community engagement into Gaia’s broader acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Feature Definition & Platform Development: Define and oversee development and implementation of community features from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. Establish scalable frameworks for content moderation, trust, and safety to ensure a positive and inclusive community experience. Create clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution: Lead and prioritize work for engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features. Manage relationships with third-party community platform providers and oversee technical integrations. Foster collaboration across departments, aligning stakeholders and building consensus on product vision.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Build effective relationships with stakeholders across all levels, align on project requirements, and provide clear status updates.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Define and track KPIs for growth. Leverage data-driven insights, user research, industry trends and competitive analysis to enhance engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Soft Skills: We seek candidates with strong interpersonal abilities – effective communication, teamwork, prioritization, and problem solving – who can adapt to change, manage conflicts with empathy, and collaborate well with diverse teams. While technical skills matter, we highly value those who build positive relationships, contribute to a supportive culture, and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
  • Expertise in gamification and engagement loop design
  • Knowledge of online learning or personal growth communities
  • Background in subscription-based business models
  • Familiarity with revenue-generating strategies for digital strategies, such as exclusive memberships, in-app purchases, or premium content
  • Experience with spiritual, wellness, or conscious media communities
  • Experience utilizing AI for content recommendations, automated moderation, and/or sentiment analysis to enhance user experience
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including leadership in senior roles
  • Experience building and scaling community platforms, social features or user-generated content, through SaaS customization or custom development
  • Familiarity with one or more modern community platforms, social APIs, and third-party integrations (e.g. Khoros, Bettermode, Discord, Mighty Networks, Discourse, Circle)
  • Experience managing web and mobile app products, ideally for B2C companies with at least $50M annual revenue
  • Strong strategic vision combined with exceptional execution skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA) and delivering complex, cross-platform initiatives on time and within budget
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across departments and leadership levels, translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills with high emotional intelligence
  • Expertise in user research, competitive analysis, A/B testing, and establishing meaningful success metrics. Proficiency using AI tools to enhance productivity, support research, and generate insights.
  • Understanding of community moderation strategies, content policies, and user safety considerations, with the ability to adapt to Gaia’s unique community values
  • Capable of balancing independent decision-making with strategic leadership oversight, demonstrating both autonomy and collaborative approach to product management
  • Must be able to work on campus in Louisville, CO.
  • US citizenship or an existing work visa is required
  • Gaia subscribers strongly preferred
Compensation
  • Range: $140000 - $165000 (USD)
Benefits
  • Full-time employees receive comprehensive medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance coverage.
