Job Title: Career/College Readiness Liaison
Pay Program: Support Staff, Non-Exempt
Pay Range: Range 8 $19.68 - $21.96 *Pending board approval
Work Year:ย  9 months (188 days / 8 Hours)
Reports to:ย  Director of Career/College Readiness
Direct Reports:ย  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.ย 






Summary
Operating under the general direction of the Director of Career/College Readiness, this position supports the implementation of district STEM and Career & Technical Education (CTE) initiatives by coordinating partnerships, organizing student engagement opportunities, and assisting with program delivery.ย  This role serves as a liaison between schools, community partners, and district leadership to support career-connected learning, expand student access to STEM opportunities, and ensure effective communication and program execution.

Job Responsibility Descriptions

1. Community Engagement and Partnership Development

  • Serve as the liaison between schools and community businesses, organizations, higher education institutions, and industry partners to support STEM and CTE initiatives.
  • Recruit and maintain partnerships aligned with district learning goals and career pathway priorities.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, field experiences, industry panels, and student engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with logistics, communication, and coordination of work-based learning experiences.
  • Maintain regular communication with partners to support program alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support STEM programs and events.
  • Collaborate with Career & Technical Education (CTE) and Career & College Readiness (CCR) staff to align partnership efforts.

2. STEM Program and Event Coordination

  • Support the planning and implementation of district STEM enrichment programs, including robotics competitions, Lego League events, design challenges, science fairs, and related initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics including scheduling, facilities use, transportation, equipment, vendors, and required documentation.
  • Support recruitment and coordination of coaches, volunteers, and event officials.
  • Provide on-site operational support during events and competitions.
  • Coordinate distribution, tracking, and replenishment of STEM instructional kits and materials.
  • Support development and sustainability of extracurricular STEM opportunities such as clubs and innovation challenges.

3. Career Exploration and Work-Based Learning Support

  • Assist in coordination of STEM-related career exploration, internships, and experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with Career & Technical Education staff and school teams.
  • Support outreach to business and community partners to expand student access to career-connected learning experiences.
  • Coordinate logistics and communication for student participation in industry visits, mentorship opportunities, and short-term workplace experiences.
  • Assist in promoting student awareness of STEM career pathways through events, presentations, and communications.

4. Communication, Outreach, and Marketing

  • Develop and distribute communication materials to promote STEM programs, events, and opportunities
  • Utilize digital platforms and social media to highlight student experiences and partnership opportunities.
  • Coordinate outreach to families, students, and community stakeholders to expand participation.
  • Establish relationships with local media and community organizations to increase program visibility.

5. Program Monitoring, Data Tracking, and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of partnerships, volunteers, student participation, and program activities using district systems.
  • Track program data including event participation, work-based learning placements, partner engagement, and program reach.
  • Collect and organize feedback and participation data to support program evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Support monitoring of access to STEM opportunities across schools and student groups.

6. Collaboration and Coordination

  • Collaborate with district leaders, school administrators, and cross-functional teams to support implementation of STEM initiatives.
  • Participate in planning meetings to ensure alignment between STEM programming, district priorities, and available resources.

7. Other Duties

  • Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed/requested.


Education and Experienceย 
Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint as well as Google Docs, Sheets, and Forms required
  • Experience working in public media, community outreach, or other volunteer coordinator role preferred

  • Criminal background check required for hire
  • Valid Colorado driver's license or valid Colorado identification required
  • Access to and use of a reliable personal vehicle is required
