Project Manager – Direct Commercial HVAC and Complex Mechanical Construction Projects

Job Overview

  • Company: Santa Fe Mechanical.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000 to $110,000 per year (Plus Performance Bonus).
  • Location: Denver, CO.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.
  • Schedule: Full-Time — Monday through Friday.
  • Project Scope: Commercial HVAC and Mechanical Systems.
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity

You will direct the complete operational and financial lifecycle of high-capacity commercial mechanical and HVAC projects. This role grants you the professional autonomy to engineer construction workflows from pre-construction down to final commissioning without micromanagement. You will directly impact company profitability, resource efficiency, and local system reliability while collaborating with elite field trades.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Manage multi-tier commercial HVAC and mechanical builds from initial bidding to final project closeout.
  • Coordinate daily with field superintendents, specialty subcontractors, suppliers, and client executives.
  • Oversee comprehensive project scheduling tracks, cost forecasting metrics, procurement, and milestone tracking.
  • Evaluate technical mechanical drawings, design specifications, material submittals, and engineering plans.
  • Lead formal project stakeholder meetings and distribute clear performance updates to team members.
  • Resolve logistical conflicts proactively to ensure continuous, uninterrupted construction field workflows.
  • Verify all completed installations align with strict contract requirements, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of verified project management experience within commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting.
  • Deep operational understanding of complex industrial mechanical systems, thermal dynamics, and site logistics.
  • Advanced technical proficiency utilizing modern project management software, electronic spreadsheets, and contract documents.
  • Strong leadership and relation-building capabilities necessary to direct multi-disciplinary construction trades.
  • Meticulous organizational skills with a proven capability to drive engineering projects on budget.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related industrial discipline.
  • Extensive experience managing central plant upgrades, commercial chiller arrays, or hydronic system configurations.
  • Completed safety milestones including an active OSHA 30 construction manager certification.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 built on mechanical engineering expertise.
  • Lucrative performance-based bonus structures designed to reward project timeline efficiency and margin retention.
  • Stable financial infrastructure featuring a dependable bi-weekly corporate corporate pay cycle.
  • Secure retirement savings program options built to protect your long-term personal financial goals.
  • Generous paid time off package covering national holidays, accrued vacation, and personal sick days.
  • Structured mileage reimbursement plans to offset personal vehicle operating costs for site travel.
  • Fully funded technical professional development, safety management courses, and advanced trade certifications.
