This role is responsible for market pricing, salary structure management, job evaluations, annual compensation planning, reporting, and internal equity analysis. The Compensation Analyst will partner closely with Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and business leaders to help drive consistent, data-informed compensation decisions.

In addition, this position supports benefits and retirement administration, including billing and reconciliation, 401(k), and Merrick’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and foundational compensation or HR experience who is eager to expand their expertise across the broader Total Rewards function.

  • Conduct market pricing, benchmark jobs, participate in compensation surveys, and maintain accurate job-matching and market-pricing data.
  • Support salary structures, job classifications, job descriptions, job evaluations, FLSA classifications, and salary range recommendations.
  • Analyze compensation data to assess market position, internal pay equity, compensation trends, and areas requiring attention or action.
  • Support annual merit, promotion, market adjustment, and incentive compensation processes.
  • Prepare compensation reports and analysis for Total Rewards, HR, and business leaders.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on new positions, promotions, hiring decisions, and compensation questions.
  • Support compensation policies, documentation, pay transparency requirements, compliance activities, and process improvements.

Benefits & Retirement – approximately 25%

  • Review and reconcile benefit vendor invoices, eligibility information, and payroll deductions; partner with our Benefits Partner to research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with annual benefit enrollment, vendor implementations, testing, data reconciliation, and other Total Rewards projects as needed.
  • Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and vendors to maintain accurate employee and program data.
