SONYC Program
SONYC Programs are funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and are structured like clubs to offer young people choice in how they spend their time. This After School program is for students in middle school. SONYC offers a wide range of activities such as Dance and Music, Sports and Fitness, Literacy, Art, Culinary Arts, and Fashion and Design. There is also a strong focus on STEAM and Leadership activities which are led by professional staff.
COMPASS Program
COMPASS is also funded by DYCD and serves young students in grades K through 5. Through its network of providers, COMPASS NYC offers high-quality programs that balance academics, recreation, enrichment, and cultural activities to support and strengthen the overall development of young people. Students who participate have the opportunity to explore their interests, express their creativity, and build skills that support their academic achievement, boost their confidence, and encourage personal growth.
