What does the CommunityRelations Director do?

Simply put, you are the brand ambassador of your assistedliving/memory care community, charged with driving census (occupancy) there.You will give engaging and memorable community tours, do what you can to marketour community to the area to build our brand as "the place to live," greetingprospective residents and their families, visit other healthcare influencers inthe market to build referral relationships, and more. In this job, everyday you will...

  • Initiate and carry out marketing calls and completinginbound marketing presentations by contacting discharge planners, doctors'offices, senior centers, other healthcare clinics, and other organizations.Answer telephone inquiries, sends out brochures and makes follow-up calls toclose the deal.
  • Meet census goals by ongoing communication andmeets standards set by the Executive Director and other regional salesleadership.
  • Conduct community tours, home visits, andassessments offering an overview of the services, lifestyle, convenience andbenefits of the community, always following the company's sales process, guidelinesand philosophy.
  • Database documentation, paperwork, and keepingthe Executive Director and department heads up to date on inquiries, tours,outreach plan and mover-ins and move-outs.
  • Represent the community in welcoming prospectiveresidents, family members, referral sources and the public in a positive,helpful, and caring manner demonstrating community mission and philosophy.
  • Maintain an accurate database records ofreserved and occupied units, communicating this information to the executivedirector and the sales and marketing director. Prepares and distributesmarketing reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Attend business and community events wherereferral sources, prospective residents, care givers and their advisors are inattendance.

Education & Experienceneeded to qualify:

A two-year AssociateDegree and a minimum of one year of sales and marketing experience or two yearsof sales and marketing experience, preferably in the assisted living/memorycare/senior care space. Experience with budgets, closing sales and publicspeaking is needed. Access to a personal car and ability to travelfrequently, with a valid driver's license being a must.
