This role is community-facing and includes regular engagement with participants and community partners, as well as occasional evenings, weekends, and travel between program locations.
What You'll Do

- Coordinate the delivery of Global Youth, Global Garden, and other assigned community programs to ensure high-quality, participant-centered services.
- Support program planning, implementation, and continuous improvement to align activities with participant needs, organizational priorities, and program objectives.
- Monitor participation, program targets, timelines, and operational requirements to support effective service delivery.
- Ensure programs are delivered in safe, inclusive, welcoming, and culturally responsive environments.
- Strengthen collaboration and referral pathways across the organization to support the holistic needs of newcomer individuals and families.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, recreation providers, funders, volunteers, and other stakeholders to enhance program opportunities and participant experiences.
- Represent the organization at meetings, events, community engagement activities, and partnership initiatives.
- Monitor program outcomes, participant feedback, and service trends to support evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with organizational and funder requirements.
What It Takes
- Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and support staff and volunteers.
- Experience coordinating community-based programs and supporting effective program delivery.
- Knowledge of youth development, community engagement, and participant-centered programming approaches.
- Strong relationship-building and partnership development skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and support integrated service delivery.
- Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong intercultural competence and ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to inclusion, equity, and community-centered service delivery.
What You Bring

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience coordinating community-based programs, supervising staff, and supporting program implementation and operations.
- Experience working within the non-profit, community services, or human services sector.
- Experience supporting youth-focused programming and community engagement initiatives.
- Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or culturally diverse communities.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and support team development.
- Experience building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools used for program coordination and reporting.
Preferred / Asset Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Public Health, Social Sciences, Community Services, Recreation, Education, or a related field.
- Experience supporting newcomer, immigrant, or refugee populations.
- Experience with program evaluation, outcome measurement, or community-based research.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licensee and access to reliable transportation.
