JOB DESCRIPTION
 
POSITION/FLSA
Administrative Support Associate (Part time/Non-Exempt)
SUPERVISOR
Reports to and works under the direct supervision of the Business Manager. 
 
HOURS
Monday through Friday, hours will vary but must be flexible to work days and/or evenings as needed. 
 
WAGE/SALARY
Starting at $15.00-$20.00 per hour 
 
NATURE OF WORK
The Administrative Support Associate provides a high level of customer service in the form of in-person, phone and email communication. This individual will use Microsoft Office Programs for a variety of correspondence. This individual will support assigned personnel tasks and work a flexible schedule as needed. In addition, this individual will provide administrative support to the Business Manager that will include clerical, accounting and human resources support.
 
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Professionally and effectively interact and communicate with GEARS employees, volunteers and the public.
*Assist with new employee orientation/paperwork.  
*Update all employment forms as needed.
*Assist with administering employee benefits program. 
*Assist with maintaining paperwork for personnel files (clearances, driver’s license, insurance, etc.).
*Assist with bank deposits and weekly AP’s, as needed.
*Assist with coding invoices and credit cards.
*Assist with weekly bank deposits.
*Assist with accounts payable and receivables.
*Perform clerical duties such as typing, copying, sorting, filing and mailings.
*Other duties as assigned.
 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
*High School Diploma with 3+ years of customer related service and excellent organizational skills.
 *Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Publisher. Preferred qualification include:
*Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college or university with 5 years of customer related experience in a recreation, retail or office setting.
