Job description

Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to make a positive impact on your community? Do you have direct sales experience and are looking to get into a leadership role? We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative - Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in connecting residential utility customers throughout Maine, with the benefits of local community solar farms and helping home owners schedule rooftop solar consultations, while leading a new team in the region.

Role type: Full time; Sales Representative Manager

Compensation: OTE - $85,000 to $140,000 annually; Base Pay + Weekly Commission and Team Bonuses;

Key Responsibilities

  • Market to residential customers and help customers lower energy costs
  • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities (ie lower electric rates, rooftop consultations)
  • Achieve individual standards with community solar enrollments
  • Effectively utilize applications provided
  • Teach scripts and techniques to new hires
  • Eventually, lead a team of 4-6 Representatives
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to get around Maine.
  • Availability to travel 6+ days monthly
  • Minimum 2 years field sales experience
  • Sales Experience: Previous sales experience, minimum 1 year or other relevant experience
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse customers.
  • Self-Motivated: A self-starter with the ability to work independently, handle rejection and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to learn new knowledge and skills, plus adapt to a dynamic and evolving industry.
