Job description

Evening Designated Drivers Needed! โ€“ Those with Virginia speeding tickets and other offenses normally want to knock out their community service hours without the hassle, while doing something that truly matters. With The Safe Ride Foundation, we make sure you can do both โ€” help save lives and complete your hours quickly, easily, and in good company.

Join our evening volunteer team at The Safe Ride Foundation, where youโ€™ll serve as a designated driver for local residents whoโ€™ve had too much to drink. Youโ€™ll help get both the person and their car home safely; preventing DUIs, crashes, and tragedies before they happen.

Since our inception in 2015, weโ€™ve been pleased to have prevented over 19,000 DUI incidents and have been named one of Frederick Countyโ€™s most impactful volunteer programs. Youโ€™ll be part of an award-winning team that makes an immediate, measurable difference in your community every single night - and weโ€™d love to have you!

Why volunteer with us?

โœ… Fulfill all your community service hours (5+ hours per night, Thursday-Saturdays)

โœ… Choose your own shifts โ€” evenings only, flexible scheduling

โœ… Meet amazing people and network locally

โœ… Keep your tips in some cases

โœ…Court Ready Documentation! โ€“ Completion Docs, Character Letters, and Signed Hours Log provided free of charge.

โœ… Be part of something genuinely life-saving

๐Ÿ“A Trade-Off to Keep in Mind:

Just keep in mind that our offices are in beautiful Frederick, Maryland. Believe it or not, the majority of our volunteers are from nearby areas in Virginia, so as long as you donโ€™t mind a short traffic-free drive to Frederick, weโ€™d love to have you!

You can get started as early as this week! Volunteering is simple, onboarding is fast, and youโ€™ll be on the road making an impact within one evening!

All you need is a valid driverโ€™s license, a few free evenings, and the heart to make a difference. No fundraising, no red tape โ€” just drive, serve, and complete your hours faster than anywhere else.

Hereโ€™s our belief, philanthropy shouldnโ€™t just be about your checkbook, and we always feel that the greatest gift you can give any cause, is not your money, itโ€™s your time. Be the reason someone gets home safe tonight, give the gift of YOU.

We fight to make sure that there are no more victims, we hope that you can fight with us!
