BILINGUAL RAPID SERVICE RESPONSE (RSR) CASE WORKER-Full-Time in Southwest Philadelphia, PA
The Case Worker for the Rapid Service Response (RSR) program is accountable to the RSR Supervisor. The Case Worker provides culturally sensitive family preservation services to ensure the safety of family members, empowers adults in the family to properly care for their children, and prevent unnecessary out-of-home placement. Operates with Gemma's UNITED values and the Gemma Way to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality services in alignment with DHS RSR requirements.
The RSR Case Worker ensures that all families receive an initial in home visit within 24 hours of Gemma receiving referral. Provides the services outlined below for up to 60 days for each family. Caseload can vary from 6-10 families per RSR Case Worker, providing a minimum of two hours per week of in-home/community service per family. The RSR Case Worker would facilitate beginning, mid-point (week 5), and closing (before week 8) joint meetings with the DHS Intake Worker; ensure documentation is shared with DHS. Further, the RSR Case Worker will assist with emergency procedures and incident reporting per DHS protocols and immediately reports all incidents of suspected or apparent child abuse and neglect.

Job Specifics: Work schedule is Monday-Friday, full-time position, Hybrid role. Must be available for evening hours. Due to the nature of this role, the case worker must have a flexible schedule in case of an emergency.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field required. At least three (3) years of experience working with children and families, preferably in the child welfare system. Bilingual strongly preferred.
