Job description

Acadian Ambulance is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Community Relations Supervisor (CRS) in Baton Rouge, LA.
The CRS maintains and grows market share by establishing and building relationships with other healthcare providers, elected officials, and civic leaders. The selected individual will also manage PST patients and represent the company at community functions.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Call on nursing homes to establish relationships and solicit business; handle all questions, inquiries, and needs of this client base.
  • Call on hospitals to establish relationships and solicit business; handle all questions, inquiries, and needs of this client base.
  • Assist Regional VP's with public inquiries
  • Manage all PST patient's (dialysis, radiology, etc.), including assessments and appropriate documentation.
  • Attend community functions and events to represent the company
  • Participate in NHA functions, including conventions and conferences
  • Work with Regional VP's and management team to establish and maintain relationships with elected officials; attend municipal and parish governmental meetings.
  • Assist with development of marketing plans for all product lines.
  • Help to develop contracts with local facilities and healthcare systems
  • Participation in Chambers of Commerce and other civic organizations.
  • Assist with media relations.
  • Collaborate with operations, ATAC and dispatch to create and refine processes that enhance the customer experience and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to develop and deliver reporting that is required by our customers.

Positions Skills/Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic determined by appropriate state requirements - 2 years experience preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BCLS instructor or agrees to obtain.
  • Healthcare Marketing and/or Customer service experience - 2 years experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel or their Google Equivalent is preferred.

  • Maintain social, ethical and organizational norms.
  • Maintain good personal motivation; develop a sense of ownership of job tasks and results.
  • Must have a sense of urgency for all work performed.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of meeting strict deadlines.
