Job description

Primary Purpose

Coordinates programs focused on new employee training/onboarding. Assists new employees in the activities of the processing departments to achieve goals for customer satisfaction, safety, quality and yield; as well as to reduce employee absenteeism and turnover - particularly with employees with less than 90 days of employment. Hours of employment are 4:30 pm - 1:00 am

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Assists new employees on the Production floor to support them as they transition into their new role. This includes tracking skills improvement to meet certification level. Responsible for monitoring absenteeism of new hires which includes contacting them if absent.
  2. Leads the new hire onboarding program by presenting in orientation and providing translation as needed.
  3. Assists in roundtable meetings and activities directed by the Complex Human Resources Manager and Employee Relations Manager to improve retention and turnover. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years' experience in a comparable role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to teach and coach others.
  • Must possess patience.
