Position Description
The community relations Associate supports Applied Medical by planning, coordinating, and executing community engagement, philanthropic initiatives, and internal programs that strengthen team member connection and external partnerships. This role contributes to a positive organizational culture by supporting events, volunteer activities, company programs, and day-to-day operations within the Company Store.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, nonprofit partners, and internal stakeholders, the community relations and company store coordinator plays an important role in representing Applied Medical professionally while delivering exceptional customer service, effective communication, and organized program support across community relations and company store operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing community relations events and philanthropic initiatives, including community resource expos, volunteer opportunities, student programs, and team member engagement activities.
  • Support events from planning through execution by managing logistics, setup, onsite support, tracking, and post-event follow-up.
  • Draft and distribute company communications related to community relations programs, philanthropic efforts, and Company Store activities.
  • Respond to inquiries from team members, nonprofit partners, and community organizations regarding programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Maintain tracking systems, documentation, and inventory related to community relations programs and the Company Store.
  • Represent Applied Medical professionally at internal and external meetings, events, and community engagements.
  • Greet and engage customers in the Company Store by delivering superior customer service and supporting a positive shopping experience.
  • Process cashier transactions accurately, maintain organized merchandise displays, and coordinate apparel and merchandise orders with product vendors.

  • Flexibility and adaptability support operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and event travel.

Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
  • Understands and follows Applied Medical Quality Systems per training requirements.
  • Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends English clearly for effective communication.
  • Understands and complies with company safety rules and organizational policies.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills in internal and external interactions.
  • Uses Microsoft Office Suite software to support documentation, communication, and tracking tasks.
  • Manages multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Maintains strong organizational skills and a positive, service-oriented approach to work.
  • Brings a proactive mindset, professional demeanor, and commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Works in office and Company Store environments and maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve issues and follow up on action items.
