SUMMARY:

The Adult Enrichment Manager is a key leader within the Pollak Training Center (PTC), a dynamic day program supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Adult Enrichment services. The manager provides direct supervision to assigned staff and works alongside them to deliver an engaging, hands-on, and enriching curriculum that promotes growth, independence, and meaningful daily experiences for participants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Program Coordination — Plan, organize, and oversee Adult Enrichment services and daily activity schedules to ensure meaningful, person-centered engagement.
• Service Monitoring — Evaluate the delivery of services and activities; recommend program enhancements in collaboration with the ADT Activities Manager; attend required meetings.
• Participant Support — Provide assistance and encouragement in social interaction, toileting, eating, grooming, mobility, and other daily living skills.
• Activity Implementation — Support staff in safely carrying out planned on-site and community-based activities.
• Staff Supervision — Supervise, schedule, and guide assigned staff; identify training needs and request resources necessary to deliver high-quality services.
• Documentation and Reporting — Prepare internal reports, records, and documentation in accordance with agency requirements.
• Communication with Leadership — Inform the PTC Director of maintenance needs, client concerns, staff concerns, staff attendance/leave, and training requirements.
• Family and Team Collaboration — Work closely with individuals served, families, Support Coordinators, and the Professional Services Coordinator to ensure all identified needs are met.
• Health and Safety Oversight — Conduct regular safety inspections, coordinate emergency drill training, maintain first-aid supplies, and ensure adherence to medication procedures.
• Medication Administration — Maintain annual Medication Administration Validation and administer medications in compliance with Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) guidelines.
• Special Projects and Events — Participate in agency events, initiatives, and projects that support program goals.
• Advocacy — Promote positive public and community relations to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Direct Care - Provide direct care services as needed to ensure continuity of support.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide emergency coverage by serving as back-up support during urgent or unexpected situations, including answering telephones and assisting with coverage across departmental areas.
• Support community relations efforts by participating in outreach activities, delivering presentations to special interest groups, and conducting tours of the PTC facility.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises direct care employees of the Adult Enrichment Department in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to pass Level 2 fingerprint background check, (https://info.flclearinghouse.com), Dept. of Children and Families abuse registry check, and local law enforcement check, Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
• Must pass a drug screen
• Must be 21 years of age, have valid driver's license, a good driving record and proof of vehicle insurance and registration with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Maintain punctual attendance and report to work on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Must be enthusiastic and compassionate professional with a strong commitment to supporting and developing the abilities of adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and effective in managing and guiding staff

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent preferred, along with one year of related experience and at least one year of supervisory experience.
• A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with I/DD is required.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex materials, including technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

· Ability to respond professionally to inquiries or complaints from persons served, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.

· Skilled in writing speeches and publishable articles that adhere to established style and formatting standards.

· Capable of delivering effective presentations to executive leadership, public groups, and boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY: The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Must be able to achieve a CPR and Supported Employment Coach Certification within 60 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Core Competencies, Zero Tolerance, HIV, and HIPAA certifications will be required. (This training is provided by the agency).

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands for fine motor tasks, including fingering, handling, or feeling objects, and to communicate through speech and hearing. The employee frequently needs to reach with hands and arms.

The position occasionally requires the employee to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described below represent those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee may also occasionally encounter wet or humid conditions as well as outdoor weather environments. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud, depending on activities and program need.

Salary: $18.00

Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Working Hours: Monday –Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
