This Position reports to:

Marketing Director

As a Content Writer & Communications Specialist, you are part of the Marketing Team and you own the content engine that fuels ELIP (Electrification - Installation Products) Canada's growth, turning product expertise intohigh-performing digital contentthat drives distributor sell-out and contractor pull-through. You will set the content strategy, create standout content hands-on, and activate it across campaigns, launches, and our contractor community.


This role is contributing to the Electrification - Installation Product division of ABB and is located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.


The work model for the role is hybrid, with 2 days per week at the office.


Key responsibilities:

1 - Content strategy & planning

  • Define and maintain theELIP Canada content strategyaligned to business priorities and the 3-year marketing vision.
  • Build and run theeditorial calendaracross web, email, social, distributor touchpoints, and community program communications.
  • Establish content pillars, messaging frameworks, formats, and reuse rules ("create once, deploy many").

2 - Hands-on content creation

  • Write and edit high-impact content for: Campaigns and product launches (distributor + electrical contractor audiences), web and landing pages, email copy, social copy, product storytelling, community program content (education, how-to, use cases, engagement content)
  • Translate technical input into clear customer value stories in partnership with Product Marketing.

3 - Campaign and launch enablement

  • Create launch-ready content packages: key messages, narratives, asset copy sets, and channel-ready content variants.
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Lead to ensure content is optimized for digital performance (SEO/AEO basics, engagement, conversion intent).

4 - Governance, quality, and alignment

  • Apply ABB brand voice and standards across all content.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Ops for workflow alignment, approvals, and consistency.
  • Ensure bilingual quality and localization readiness across deliverables (EN/FR).

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English & French) - required(written and verbal). English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec.
  • 8-12+ years of experience indigital content, editorial, journalism, or communications(B2B preferred; industrial/technical a strong asset).
  • Proven ability to build content strategy andexecute hands-onat a senior level.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; able to simplify complex technical topics.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels and performance-driven content (web, email, social).
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Sales stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SEO content practices, analytics basics, and content experimentation (preferred)
  • Experience with CMS platforms and marketing automation environments (preferred)
