Position Summary
The Outreach & Community Partnerships Coordinator supports Girls Inc. of Tennessee Valley's school-based and community outreach programming across Anderson, Knox, and Blount Counties.
This position coordinates day-to-day outreach operations, supports Outreach Facilitators, maintains relationships with partner schools, assists with participant recruitment, and helps ensure high-quality programming at every outreach location.
Working closely with the Executive Director, the Coordinator serves as an important ambassador for Girls Inc., strengthening community partnerships while supporting the delivery of exceptional programming for girls.
Schedule
This is a part-time hourly position averaging approximately 25โ€“30 hours per week.
Anticipated Schedule

  • Mondayโ€“Thursday: 12:00 p.m. โ€“ 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. โ€“ 3:00 p.m.
Some flexibility is required to accommodate school schedules, staff meetings, training, community events, and occasional evening or weekend activities.
Regular travel between outreach locations throughout Anderson, Knox, and Blount Counties is required.
Essential Responsibilities
Community Partnerships
  • Serve as the primary contact for partner schools and outreach sites.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate communication between Girls Inc. and outreach partners.
  • Represent Girls Inc. professionally at school events, community meetings, and recruitment opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and expand Girls Inc.'s visibility throughout the community.
Program Coordination
  • Coordinate daily operations across multiple outreach sites.
  • Ensure Outreach Facilitators have curriculum, supplies, and resources needed for successful programming.
  • Visit outreach locations regularly to monitor program quality and provide support.
  • Assist with onboarding and training Outreach Facilitators and interns.
  • Support consistent implementation of Girls Inc.'s research-based curriculum and program standards.
Recruitment & Enrollment
  • Assist with participant recruitment and outreach enrollment.
  • Coordinate school-based recruitment opportunities.
  • Develop referral relationships with schools and community partners.
  • Help organize outreach events that increase awareness of Girls Inc.
  • Support communication with participating families.
Administration
  • Maintain attendance records and required program documentation.
  • Assist with grant reporting and outcome tracking.
  • Coordinate program supplies and logistics.
  • Support outreach scheduling and transportation coordination.
  • Complete required reports accurately and on time.
Team Support
  • Provide day-to-day support to Outreach Facilitators.
  • Assist with facilitator scheduling and substitute coverage.
  • Communicate program updates and organizational information.
  • Escalate personnel or operational concerns to leadership when appropriate.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
Qualifications
Required
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Recreation, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with youth, education, recreation, or nonprofit programming.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel regularly between outreach sites.
  • Successful completion of required background screenings.
