Job description

Job Title: Community Outreach Coordinator 

Department: Marketing 

Reports To: VP of Operations 

Location: TXM ER & Hospital - Manor 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Employment Type: Full Time (1.0 FTE), salaried- rotating call  

Shift Available: Business Hours 

Schedule: Business hours, with occasional evenings and weekends for community events 

About TXM ER & Hospital 

TXM ER & Hospital is building a high-accountability, patient-centered micro hospital platform designed to deliver prompt, high-quality care close to the communities we serve. We value team members who act with urgency, communicate clearly, take ownership, and work collaboratively across functions to solve problems quickly and safely. Our hospital has 6 ER beds, 6 Inpatient Beds, and 2 OR's. We have radiology, laboratory, dietary, and pharmacy services on site.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers, schools, churches, civic groups, and community organizations in Manor and the surrounding area. 
  • Represent TXM ER & Hospital at community events, health fairs, and local business and civic meetings. 
  • Plan, staff, and evaluate outreach events, screenings, and education sessions. 
  • Build referral relationships with area clinics, urgent cares, EMS, and physician practices. 
  • Support local marketing execution across print, digital, social, and signage, consistent with TXM brand guidelines. 
  • Produce community-facing materials and coordinate messaging and approvals with the marketing strategist. 
  • Track outreach activity, referral sources, and event outcomes, and report results to leadership. 
  • Gather community and patient feedback and route service concerns to the appropriate leader. 
  • Route media and sponsorship requests through leadership before making any public commitment. 
  • Protect patient privacy in all outreach, marketing, and social media activity.  
  • Have a deep understanding of our services and offerings at TXM to be able to speak to business development. 
  • Work collaboratively with Detox Coordinator in strategic planning of referral sources. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Experience in community outreach, business development, marketing, or public relations 
  • Comfort presenting to groups and representing an organization in public settings 
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the judgment to speak carefully on behalf of the hospital 
  • Ability to work independently, plan events, and travel locally 
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends when community events require it 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Healthcare marketing or hospital outreach experience 
  • Existing relationships in Manor, Travis County, or the greater Austin market 
  • Experience with social media content and basic design tools 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish 

Physical and Work Environment Requirements 

  • Regular local travel to community events, businesses, schools, and partner organizations 
  • Prolonged standing and walking at events, including outdoors in variable Texas weather 
  • Setting up and breaking down event displays, tables, and materials 
  • Lifting and carrying event materials and equipment up to 40 pounds 
  • Prolonged sitting and screen use for planning, content, and reporting work 
  • Ability to speak clearly to groups and to be heard in noisy public settings 
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends 
  • Incidental exposure to patient care areas, with compliance to infection control and privacy requirements
