Job description

Social Media & Community Manager — Canada
Location: Canada (Remote, must be based in Canada)
Compensation: ~$4,000 USD / month
Type: Full-Time, Contract
Company Description:
Worthland Consulting Inc. is a premier quality recruitment agency based in Canada that specializes in the web3 and crypto space. Our mission is to connect the best candidates with the right jobs in these industries. Whether you are looking to hire new staff or find a new job, we are here to help.
About the Role:
Our client is a globally ranked cryptocurrency exchange looking for a Social Media & Community Manager based in Canada to own and grow their English-language social media presence and online community channels. This is a fully online role — no travel or in-person events required.
You will be responsible for managing content and engagement across social media platforms (X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram) and running day-to-day community operations across Telegram, Reddit, and Discord. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media, understands crypto culture, and knows how to build engaged communities from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media:
• Manage and grow the brand's presence on X/Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content tailored to each platform
• Monitor trends, conversations, and competitors across crypto social media
• Drive follower growth, engagement, and brand awareness through organic content strategies
• Track and report on social media performance metrics
Community Operations:
• Manage and moderate Telegram groups, Discord servers, and Reddit communities
• Engage with community members daily — answer questions, spark discussions, and maintain a positive environment
• Coordinate community events such as AMAs, giveaways, trading competitions, and other engagement initiatives
• Escalate user issues and feedback to internal teams
• Monitor community sentiment and flag potential risks or concerns
Requirements:
Must-Have:
• Based in Canada (any province/city)
• 1+ years of experience managing social media accounts and/or online communities in the crypto or Web3 space
• Strong understanding of crypto culture, memes, and the language of Crypto Twitter
• Hands-on experience with X/Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Telegram, Discord, and Reddit
• Excellent English communication skills — you can write copy that sounds human, not corporate
• Self-starter who can work independently in a remote setting
• Available to monitor communities and respond to time-sensitive situations outside standard hours when needed
Strong Plus:
• Experience at a cryptocurrency exchange or trading platform
• Content creation skills (short-form video for TikTok/Reels, graphic design)
• Understanding of trading culture (spot, futures, memecoins, etc.)
• Multilingual — French, Mandarin, or other languages
• Existing presence or following in the crypto community
Not a Fit If You Prefer:
• Purely offline marketing or event-based roles
• Highly structured corporate environments
• Minimal interaction with community members
• Working only during fixed business hours with no flexibility
Why This Role:
• Work for a globally ranked crypto exchange with millions of users
• Fully remote — work from anywhere in Canada
• Be at the center of crypto social media and community culture
• Opportunity to grow your career in one of the fastest-moving industries
