Emmaus, PA


Phoebe Ministries is hiring a Part-time Community Life Assistant to join our Chestnut Ridge at Rodale campus in Emmaus, PA.


Schedule: 20 hours per week (40 hours per pay period). Primarily needed for evenings, with additional availability on days and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities for a Community Life Assistant with Phoebe Emmaus:

Responsible for working with community life team and other departments to implement strategies to achieve programming goals assigned to the department; work; responds to and appropriately directs inquiries and requests from residents, staff, repair technicians, families, etc.; develops and facilitates daily activity programs, special events and off campus trips/activities; reports pertinent information to the administrator; responds to inquiries and requests from residents, staff personnel, etc.


Requirements for a Community Life Assistant with Phoebe Emmaus:

  1. The ability to deliver excellent customer service to all residents, families and co-workers.
  2. High School Diploma.
  3. Prefer experience working directly with long term care population or CNA experience.
  4. Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; knowledge of the social, psychological and recreational needs and abilities of older adults.
  5. Proficiency in planning and organizing activities geared to the needs and abilities of the residents.
  6. Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle.
  7. Must be comfortable lifting up to 30lbs.
