Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN) - Great Bend, Kansas

Join a supportive Labor & Delivery team in Great Bend, Kansas, for a 13-week travel RN assignment. This L&D Registered Nurse role offers the chance to provide compassionate maternal-newborn care, support families during one of life’s most important moments, and work in a welcoming south-central Kansas community.

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-Call Requirement: 2-3 on-call shifts per month

  • Floating: May float to Medical-Surgical and care for pediatric patients as needed
Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
  • Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring class completed within the past 24 months
  • Must be willing to obtain PALS prior to start
  • Experience with EPIC preferred
  • Prior travel RN experience and rural hospital experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and support a team-based patient care environment
Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Support safe deliveries and assist with newborn care in collaboration with the care team
  • Float to Medical-Surgical as needed and assist with pediatric patients when assigned
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established patient care protocols
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled
  • Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, and support staff to promote excellent patient outcomes
