Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The DSP plays a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being while ensuring the safety and health of individuals served.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in accordance with individualized support plans
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Administer medications in accordance with state guidelines (must be Med Certified)
  • Monitor and document individual progress, behaviors, and health-related issues
  • Support individuals in developing life skills, social skills, and community integration
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation (daily notes, incident reports, medication logs)
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and family members
  • Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered care at all times
Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a healthcare, home care, or direct support setting
  • Medication Certification (Med Certified) – preferred
  • CPR and First Aid Certification – preferred
  • High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or higher preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for position)
  • Ability to pass background check
