• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify co-occurring disorders and develop personalized treatment plans that cater to each client's specific needs and recovery goals.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to implement effective treatment strategies during individual and group therapy sessions, addressing issues related to addiction, trauma, and various mental health challenges.
• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans in response to shifts in status or emerging needs, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to devise holistic treatment solutions, sharing insights and strategies that align with the best practices in mental health care.
• Provide education and resources to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, addiction recovery strategies, and ongoing self-care practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in strict adherence to regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring compliance at all times.

You will be working with a diverse group of individuals, many of whom are grappling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role requires sensitivity, empathy, and a commitment to client advocacy. You will play a pivotal part in helping clients establish resilience and develop effective coping mechanisms, ultimately leading them towards sustainable recovery and improved quality of life.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification to practice in New York.
• A minimum of three years of direct mental health counseling experience, including work with individuals in crisis and various stages of recovery.

• Additional specialized training in rehabilitation mental health, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Experience in group therapy settings, demonstrating the ability to facilitate discussions and foster a supportive group dynamic.
