Job description

Join our team as an Events Assistant, where you'll represent CARE, one of the world's leading humanitarian organizations, at community events throughout the Houston area. This is a people-focused role where you'll engage with the public, raise awareness about CARE's mission, and inspire individuals to support programs that provide emergency relief, fight poverty, and empower communities around the world.
No prior experience is required. We provide comprehensive paid training and opportunities for rapid career growth.
Responsibilities
  • Represent CARE professionally at community events, festivals, retail locations, and outreach campaigns.
  • Welcome and engage members of the public in friendly, meaningful conversations about CARE's humanitarian initiatives.
  • Educate potential supporters about CARE's mission, programs, and global impact.
  • Inspire individuals to become monthly supporters by explaining the importance of sustainable giving.
  • Answer questions confidently while providing excellent customer service.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain event displays to ensure a welcoming and professional presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily and weekly fundraising goals.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while creating memorable experiences for event attendees.
