Community Event Coordinator

Exact Solar

Newtown, PA โ€ข On-site

Part-time

Job description

Benefits:
  • Bonus based on performance
  • Flexible schedule
  • Opportunity for advancement

Non-traditional hours | Weekends & Some Evenings
Company: Exact Solar
Location: Eastern PA / NJ region
Schedule: Primarily weekends, plus some evening events
Do you light up in a crowd?

We’re looking for a naturally outgoing, friendly, and engaging person to represent Exact Solar at local community events. This is not a desk job, and it is not a traditional sales role.
This is for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people, making conversation easily, and creating a warm, memorable first impression. You might be the kind of person who talks to everyone at a farmers market, knows how to make small talk feel natural, and enjoys being out in the community rather than behind a screen.
At Exact Solar, we’re a long-standing, highly respected local solar company serving Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Our team is full of knowledgeable, technical solar professionals — but community events require a different kind of strength. We want someone who is energized by people, loves local events, and is excited to help spread the word about clean energy in a low-pressure, positive, authentic way.
What this role looks like

You’ll represent Exact Solar at smaller, community-centered events such as:
  • Local 5Ks
  • Earth Day events
  • Farmers markets
  • Township/community days
  • Trunk-or-treats
  • School and nonprofit events
  • Environmental fairs
  • Home and community festivals
Your role is to help people feel comfortable approaching us, start conversations naturally, create a positive impression of our brand, and identify people who may be interested in learning more about solar for their home or business.
This role is ideal for someone who wants weekend and event-based work and enjoys being the face of a company in public settings.
Responsibilities
  • Represent Exact Solar professionally and enthusiastically at local events
  • Greet attendees and start friendly, natural conversations
  • Share basic information about who we are and what we do
  • Help identify and collect promising leads from interested homeowners and business owners
  • Set the tone for a welcoming, low-pressure brand experience
  • Assist with simple event setup, table organization, signage, and materials
  • Communicate event feedback, lead notes, and observations after each event
  • Help us improve our community event presence over time

Who we’re looking for
We are specifically looking for someone with the right personality for this type of work.
You may be a great fit if you are:
  • Warm, outgoing, and naturally easy to talk to
  • Comfortable approaching strangers in a friendly, genuine way
  • Great at small talk and reading people
  • Energetic and positive in face-to-face settings
  • Passionate about the environment, sustainability, and solar energy
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Comfortable working independently at events
  • Excited by community engagement and local relationship-building
  • Available to work most weekends and some evenings

This is probably not the right fit if you:
  • Prefer behind-the-scenes marketing work over face-to-face interaction
  • Dislike approaching new people
  • Are only reluctantly available on weekends
  • Want a highly structured office schedule
  • Need a script for every conversation

We want this role to be rewarding for someone who enjoys community engagement and can create real value through strong event presence and lead generation.
Why this role matters
Exact Solar has built a strong reputation over many years by being knowledgeable, trustworthy, and local. We want to deepen our presence in the community by showing up at more neighborhood-scale events where people can meet us in person.
This position is a big part of that vision.
You’ll help us bring our brand to life in a way that feels approachable, human, and community-centered — while helping more people learn about solar and clean energy.
To apply
Send us a short note introducing yourself and tell us:
  • Why this kind of role appeals to you
  • What types of events or community-facing work you’ve done before
  • Why you think you’d be a great fit for representing a local solar company

We’d especially love to hear from people who are naturally social, community-minded, and genuinely excited about environmental impact.
