Job description

The Recruitment Marketing & Communications Specialist executes recruitment marketing and communication initiatives designed to attract qualified candidates and strengthen the company's employer brand. This role develops recruitment content, implements digital and traditional marketing campaigns, manages recruitment communications across multiple platforms, and coordinates recruitment marketing efforts for more than 20 school bus terminals throughout Wisconsin.
Working closely with HR leadership and hiring managers, the Recruitment Marketing & Communications Specialist ensures consistent messaging, promotes employment opportunities, and contributes to employee engagement initiatives that enhance the employee experience and support employee retention.
Key Performance Areas
1. Recruitment Marketing Campaign Execution
  • Execute recruitment marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, including social media, job boards, email marketing, geofencing, radio, television, and other advertising platforms.
  • Create, post, and maintain job advertisements on Indeed, Job Center of Wisconsin, the company careers website, and other recruitment platforms.
  • Coordinate localized recruitment advertising based on terminal staffing needs and hiring priorities.
  • Coordinate hiring events, job fairs, and onsite recruitment activities with hiring managers and terminal leadership.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all recruitment marketing materials and communication channels.

2. Employer Brand & Content Management
  • Maintain and enhance recruitment content on the company careers website.
  • Manage recruitment and employer brand content across the company's social media platforms.
  • Develop engaging marketing content including employee spotlights, testimonials, day-in-the-life features, recruitment flyers, and promotional materials.
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment-focused social media content calendar.
  • Prepare and distribute print and digital recruitment materials for terminals, job fairs, and community outreach events.
  • Monitor online reviews and candidate feedback on platforms such as Indeed and Glassdoor and communicate trends or concerns to HR leadership.
  • Coordinate advertising placements and creative projects with external vendors and marketing partners.

3. Recruitment Marketing Analytics & Reporting
  • Track recruitment marketing activity, campaign performance, applicant flow, and engagement metrics across recruitment channels.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports summarizing recruitment marketing performance.
  • Compile recruitment marketing data to assist with cost-per-hire, sourcing effectiveness, and campaign performance analysis.
  • Identify trends and recommend opportunities to improve recruitment marketing effectiveness.

4. Community Recruitment & Outreach
  • Coordinate outreach with workforce development boards, technical colleges, community organizations, and other recruitment partners.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and coordinate logistics for job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities.
  • Promote company employment opportunities through local partnerships and community engagement initiatives.

5. Employee Engagement & Internal Communications
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities including recognition programs, company apparel pop-up stores, appreciation events, and employee communication initiatives.
  • Develop communication materials for employee events and internal engagement programs.
  • Prepare onboarding communication materials for new employees and newly acquired terminals.
  • Participate in company events including School Bus Appreciation Week, community events, recruiting events, EAA, and other promotional activities.
  • Coordinate logistics associated with employee engagement and retention initiatives.

6. Project Coordination & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruitment marketing and communication projects assigned by HR leadership.
  • Maintain organized records of recruitment campaigns, marketing materials, digital assets, and communication resources.
  • Assist with presentations, recruitment marketing initiatives, and other HR communication projects.
  • Perform additional marketing, communication, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, communications, recruitment marketing, social media management, employer branding, or a related field.
  • Experience developing marketing content across digital and traditional communication channels.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn applicant tracking systems and marketing software (Paycom experience preferred).
  • Ability to analyze marketing performance data and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Wisconsin approximately 20% of the time.
