Base Salary: $48,750 to $81,250 annually DOE

Job Summary

Ziply Fiber is revolutionizing the internet experience with a major investment in Fiber Internet network upgrades. As a Community Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving brand awareness and fostering community relationships to support our growth goals.


You’ll be the face of Ziply Fiber, building connections between our brand and local communities. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams across Marketing, PR, Operations, and Sales to develop and execute targeted marketing plans, engage with community leaders and organizations, and organize impactful local events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Community Engagement and Relationship Building

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with community leaders.

· Build a positive, accessible presence within communities to foster trust and engagement, positioning our brand as a committed, reliable, local partner.

· Integrate into key chambers of commerce or other community-based organizations to ensure Ziply Fiber is part of the community.

· Strong ability to connect with diverse groups, from local business leaders to customers, fostering trust and engagement.


Brand Awareness and Market Presence

· Build brand awareness and excitement for the brand in areas soon-to-be built with fiber internet.

· Identifying the most effective and ROI efficient outreach opportunities in the territory.

· Lead efforts to obtain best internet awards from local publications that support our mission to improve local connectivity and bring reliable, high-speed fiber internet access to communities.


Event Planning and Community Activation

· Planning and preparing community-based events – local sponsorships, farmers markets, grand openings, or other events.

· Coordinate ground-breaking, ribbon-cutting, and fastest city certification ceremonies to mark key milestones, in collaboration with city officials, chambers and local organizations to enhance visibility and generate positive local press.

· Manage logistics for these events, ensuring all necessary materials, branding, and support are in place to create a polished, engaging experience.


Marketing Strategy and Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work with other marketing team members on items needed to support the territory sales.

· Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for local Ziply Fiber properties, as well as recommending general marketing programs and local campaigns in close collaboration with the demand & channel marketing team and key sales counterparts.

· Working with demand and channel marketing leaders, create and execute asset marketing materials and building specific marketing strategies.


Sales Support and Territory Growth

· Support local sales teams by generating customer leads, driving penetration of the internet products.


Other Duties

· Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.


Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales, marketing, event planning or related field.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written, adaptable to both internal and external audiences.

· Aptitude for negotiation, persuasion, and business acumen.

· Highly motivated, determined, and target driven.

· Comfortable addressing audiences of various sizes, with experience presenting at community events, chamber meetings, and media events.

· Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and host events that engage community stakeholders and enhance brand recognition.

· Expert in time management and personal organization.

· Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· Ability to quickly adapt to changing markets, communities, and priorities, while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.

· Must be able to travel within assigned regions to maintain a local presence and attend events as needed.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.

· Must complete a pre-employment drug screening.

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
