Job description

Project Managers are on the leading edge of management, relationship building and mentoring to achieve consistent project successes. Project assignments for this position would include the design of private and public site developments, parks and recreation, stormwater projects, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and community planning.

The right candidate will have the skills and experience to address the following tasks:

Project Management:
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and design staff as needed.
  • Prepare monthly invoicing, internal and external progress reports, etc.
  • Build and maintain sufficient work backlog for staff utilization.
  • Relationship Development:
  • Craft proposals which define scope, schedule, labor hours and fees; coordinate with subconsultants on scope and fee. Negotiate fees with clients.
  • Research and network with current and prospective clients, identify business opportunities.
  • Network with consultants, develop beneficial teaming relationships.
  • Attend conferences and actively participate in professional organizations.
  • Attend functions, and serve on committees with clients.
  • Connect with clients through consistent visits and touchpoints.
  • Assist clients with unforeseen needs that can help advance projects or initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports.
  • Mentoring:
  • Perform annual reviews for assigned staff, set growth goals and objectives.
  • Recommend staff pay adjustments and advancements.
  • Mentor (or providing mentoring) for juniorlevel staff.
  • Keep current and provide team training on design trends, regulations, codes, etc.
  • We’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Georgia PE certification required or immediate reciprocity ability.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in a A/E/C role.
  • 510 years plus of experience in site development design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Experience desirable in one or all of these design types: parks and recreation, stormwater, bicycle and pedestrian, community planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to thrive on a team.
  • Ability to embody our brand by treating clients and employees with courtesy and respect.
