Position Summary

The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the Misty Residential Program, which provides services and supports to 12 individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

This position is responsible for managing staffing schedules, supervising approximately 6-7 Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), overseeing program finances, maintaining documentation and compliance requirements, and ensuring high-quality services for residents. The Program Manager serves as a key liaison among residents, staff, families, case managers, and funding sources while promoting a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Staff Supervision
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Train, mentor, and support staff development.
  • Address performance concerns and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members.
  • Manage staff scheduling, including call-offs, no-shows, and time-off requests.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage at all times.
Program Operations
  • Provide day-to-day oversight to ensure services align with each individual's ISP and treatment plan.
  • Participate in treatment planning meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with residents, family members, funding sources, and community partners.
  • Coordinate and implement monthly resident activities and community engagement opportunities.
  • Participate in quality assurance and program improvement initiatives.
Resident Support & Care Coordination
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Report medical concerns promptly to the Program Director.
  • Support resident needs when situations require managerial intervention.
  • Collaborate with case managers and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Promote resident choice, dignity, independence, and well-being.
Financial & Administrative Management
  • Process invoices and manage program-related expenditures.
  • Monitor and reconcile program and consumer-related financial transactions, including PEX card management.
  • Complete Avatar data entry and census verification requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including:
    • Daily logs
    • Medication records
    • Inventories
    • Incident reports
    • Assessments
    • Progress notes
    • Vehicle logs
  • Monitor compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Facility & Safety Oversight
  • Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the program site.
  • Monitor the condition of site vehicles and report repairs as needed.
  • Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Additional Duties
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
    • Social Work
    • Psychology
    • Counseling
    • Education
    • Criminal Justice
    • Gerontology
    • Anthropology
    • Political Science
    • History
    • Theology
    • Related human services field
  • Minimum of 3 years of mental health direct care experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or Behavioral Health diagnoses
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations, RHD values, and program policies and procedures
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, electronic documentation systems, and data entry applications
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with state minimum insurance coverage
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background and employment screenings, including FBI clearance when applicable

  • Master's degree in a related field
