Job Description
The South-Central Division Business Development (BD) Manager is responsible for driving strategy, sales and growth in our South-Central Division of our Infrastructure business in Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, with additional growth potential Arkansas & Mississippi. This position is responsible for helping to lead the Divisional Business Development program for an approximate $30 million book of business and delivering on a strategic and scalable growth plan for the division. The successful candidate will collaborate with both sales and operations teams to develop strong client and partner firm relationships to maintain and grow a robust portfolio and sales pipeline with a target of 4X sales pipeline of revenue projections. This position will provide strategic direction regarding the sales and growth outlook and needed investments to meet the regional infrastructure business plan. Primary drivers are to drive the Atlas brand into the current markets, with focus on strong emerging markets that have strong tailwinds for the growth of Atlas services. The role is responsible for achieving results in alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and the overall company strategy.

Core Responsibilities
  • Drive organic growth and lead business development efforts in Atlas� South-Central Infrastructure Division, aligning with strategic objectives and company goals.
  • Establish, nurture, and expand client relationships, serving and working with client managers for key accounts.
  • Oversee Key Client accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Regular tracking of sales performance, pipeline growth and conversion, and backlog through use of CRM.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Partner with the South-Central Division Manager (operations) to oversee the South-Central Infrastructure Business and liaise within the broader region.
  • Develop and execute tailored business development plans for Tennessee, Alabama & Louisiana, specifically with a focus on TN growth
  • Enhance business intelligence by gathering insights on clients, competitors, and market trends.
  • Utilize strategic processes to anticipate market shifts and prioritize pursuits, contributing to developing capture strategies to secure new business.
  • Lead and participate in key pursuits and teaming strategies to secure new contracts and projects.
  • Coach and seller doers within the South-Central Division to strengthen the team and foster professional growth.
  • Actively engage, attend and promote the company at networking events, industry meetings, and trade shows within the Division.
  • Support organic growth by identifying and recruiting strategic hires to enhance business capabilities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics to inform business development strategies.
  • Manage business development overhead spend, including events and initiatives

You'll thrive here if you have
  • Bachelor's degree and/ or 10- 15 or more years of progressively responsible sales experience leading the growth of a market or office(s).
  • Knowledge and experience leading, developing and managing sales programs across a region, within the transportation and /or energy markets
  • Experience with selling and delivering consultant AEC services across owner, contractor and partner platforms
  • Self-starter mindset with innate sales orientation, optimism and drive; organizational skills and the ability to take prompt action in response to sales leads and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate across all levels of an organization.
  • Creative problem-solving skills in demanding situations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with internal and external clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint), MS-Teams, and SharePoint
  • Experience with or ability to learn and consistently use client relationship management (CRM) software.
