Who You Are:
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Client Development Coordinator to join our growing sales team. This role is focused on building and managing an inbound and outbound pipeline of existing and prospective clients within the luxury architecture and interior design market. The Client Development Coordinator role will be exposed to all aspects of sales and development to identify, pursue, and cultivate relationships to further grow our brand presence in the market. As a representative of our Client Development team, you will develop sales skills, product fluency, and market knowledge to become a high-performing member of our sales department. You will work closely with the Sales Manager and Client Development team members to refine your approach, learn our processes, and drive towards company sales targets. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.
This role, based in Charleston, SC, is developed with a six-month onboarding period to gain command of our systems, processes, product offerings, and brand approach. Upon completion of the onboarding program, the role will require travel to the West Coast for one week each month.
A Day in the Life:
  • Answer phone/email inquiries for general pricing/product questions in a timely manner.
  • Generate quotes to meet client requests, including sales inbox coverage as needed.
  • Determine client requirements and expectations in order to recommend products based on cost, timeframe or specifications.
  • Craft personalized outreach via phone, email, and in person that speaks to the priorities and aesthetic sensibilities of our clients.
  • Work with territory teams to achieve sales revenue goals and client satisfaction.
  • Acquire command of UECoโ€™s product offering, finishes, and customization capabilities to credibly represent our collection to clients. Acquire command of internal SOPs and processes to ensure smooth execution with internal partners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect activity, notes, and follow-ups in CRM.
  • Plan, implement and manage a business development strategy based on the sales vision for the organization that will contribute to the achievement of the territory and teamโ€™s overall business objectives. This strategy will include both sales growth and marketing plans.
  • Work closely with territory Sales Coordinators to create a dynamic and responsive experience for the client. Support Sales Coordinators by assisting with client communication and quoting and placing orders.
  • Closely monitor client issues in conjunction with the territory Client Service Specialist.
  • Monitor and analyze new business development to identify trends.
  • Track sales effectiveness/increases by new and existing accounts.
  • Manage monthly travel and events budget.
  • Nurture long-cycle prospects with thoughtful, well-timed outreach that reflects our brand standards.
  • Proactively promote new products to existing clients and new prospects by scheduling and delivering presentations monthly to the design community.
  • Attend and represent the company at regional industry events. Host clients on visits to Charleston and oversee planning of all Golden Ticket trips within the region.
  • Responsible for maintaining good relations and professionalism in all daily interactions with clients and internal team.
  • Work in our Charleston Headquarters and execute client needs while working independently.
  • Monthly travel (average 4 business days / month) alongside Client Development in the field independently.
What Will Set You Up for Success:
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a client-facing role.
  • Familiarity with and interest in the luxury architecture, interior design, or shelter market is a plus.
