Vectra Bank Colorado is seeking a proven Business Development Manager who is highly motivated and results-driven, with a strong sales orientation, to lead and grow the Business Development Banking team. This role will be responsible for driving strategic growth, fostering client relationships, and delivering exceptional performance across the team.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the profitability, loan and deposit growth and operations of a business development unit including the management, solicitation, and development of consumer and small business loans, and sales and service activities within the unit
  • Responsible for leading the activities to accomplish sales objectives, attracting referral sources, new business development and the retention of the existing book of business
  • Develops and implements programs for business development, executes on sales promotions and expanding the sales and service culture of the bank within assigned area
  • Is accountable to line of business goals including line budgets and production goals
  • Ensures budgets are met and focuses on revenue generation and expense control
  • Creates strategic market plans for assigned area
  • Responsible for the strategic direction and execution of strategic market plan
  • Responsible for community development and relations
  • Prepares, monitors, and tracks relevant reports
  • Revises or creates procedures to improve efficiency of region
  • Leads employee development and coaching
  • Joint calling is required to assist team in winning or expanding business
  • Strong business and consumer credit acumen is required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field and 6 years in the banking industry, branch management, commercial and consumer lending or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Management experience required
  • Motivational, budgeting and project management experience preferred
  • Requires a considerable working knowledge of banking, lending, credit policies, revenue generation, cost control, banking products, services, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Strong management, judgment, community development and public relations skills required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to resolve problems and manage budgets

Compensation:

This position offers a base salary range of $120,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with job-related factors such as experience and geographic location, and includes eligibility for an incentive plan. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, expertise, location, education, and certifications.
