About the Role

Liberty Moving & Storage is seeking a Business Development / Assistant Sales Manager to work directly with our Director of Sales in driving referral growth, building strategic relationships, and supporting marketing initiatives.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the field, connecting with people, and contributing to real business growth. You'll play a key role in expanding our network while helping support the marketing efforts that keep our brand front and center.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Relationship Building

  • Develop and maintain relationships with:
    • Real estate agents and brokerages o Property managers and luxury residential buildings
    • Senior living communities and relocation partners
  • Support outreach efforts, appointment setting, and follow-ups
  • Represent Liberty at networking events, trade shows, and community functions
  • Maintain a consistent in-person presence across Long Island and surrounding areas

Sales Support & Growth Initiatives

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales on growth strategies and initiatives
  • Help strengthen referral partnerships and identify new opportunities
  • Assist with ongoing relationship management and partner engagement

Marketing Support

  • Assist with social media coordination (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Support creation of marketing materials (Canva, PowerPoint, one-pagers)
  • Help execute events, campaigns, and partner engagement efforts
  • Ensure consistent brand presence across outreach and events

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track outreach activity, meetings, and relationship development
  • Maintain KPI dashboards and weekly reporting
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Assist in evaluating referral partner performance and ROI

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or account management
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Comfortable networking and building relationships in person
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay accountable
  • Familiar with LinkedIn, Google Workspace, and basic design tools

Industry experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

  • $66,300–$75,000 per year (DOE)
