Nature & Purpose of Position
This position will operate the reception desk at the CAM Creative Community at Belvin Hall. This is a Living Community designed for students from the College of Arts and Media and consists of creative studios, workspaces, and a theatre. This position will check equipment in and out to residents in addition to monitoring and reporting any issues to the Resident Advisor on duty, the Residence Hall Director, and Graduate Assistants (GA). Monitoring will involve making periodic rounds of the Creative Community space. The position will also assist with staff and GA programming when needed. This position will also be responsible for setting up room spaces as instructed.
Must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be in good standing with the university. Must be enrolled in at least 6 financial aid eligible hours each fall and spring semester. Must be approved for "Work Study" employment.
We are looking for highly motivated and engaged individuals. This community is very active and engaged. Most shifts are scheduled during the hours of 6:00 pm - midnight, with some morning and afternoon shifts available, based on event needs.
