Position: Night Supervisor Community Center & Community Education
The Night Supervisor plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safe, efficient operation of the Community Center and District facilities during evening programs and events. This position supports Community Center members, Community Education classes, facility rentals, instructors, and guests while maintaining a welcoming, secure, and organized environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Welcome members and visitors by providing friendly, professional customer service.
  • Manage member check-in and assist patrons with questions, concerns, and facility information.
  • Support Community Education classes by verifying participant registration and payment status.
  • Assist Community Education instructors with classroom needs and general program support.
  • Provide assistance to facility renters by directing them to reserved spaces, answering questions, and addressing facility needs.
  • Monitor District facilities during evening activities to ensure safety, security, and compliance with facility policies and guidelines.
  • Open and close buildings, rooms, and program spaces according to established procedures.
  • Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to ensure spaces remain safe, clean, and ready for use.
  • Perform light cleaning and reset rooms following programs and rentals if needed.
  • Respond appropriately to customer concerns and facility issues, escalating situations when needed.
  • Serve as a positive representative of the Community Center and Community Education Department.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn registration software
  • Ability to interact professionally with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform light cleaning tasks.
  • occasional weekend work available if desired

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, recreation, education, hospitality, or facility operations.
  • Experience with handling multiple tasks at once.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
