Job description

Activities Assistant - Memory Care

Mid-Morning to Evening with flexible hours.  Must be available weekends and holidays.

Do you enjoy bringing joy and creativity into the lives of others? At American House, our Life Enrichment Assistants play a vital role in creating meaningful moments for our residents through engaging activities, events, and experiences.

Note: Need to be available Weekends.

  • Plan and lead activities that support the Whole Person Wellness Model (intellectual, social, emotional, vocational, and spiritual).

  • Create fun programs such as crafts, music, and community outings.

  • Use technology (iPad, photos, social media) to highlight resident experiences.

  • Welcome and orient new residents, ensuring they feel part of the community.

  • Decorate for holidays and seasonal events, adding warmth and cheer to the community.
  • Oversee volunteers and represent American House at community events.

  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong connections with residents and families.

  • Experience working with seniors, students, or in customer-focused roles.

  • Outgoing, energetic, and creative personality.

  • Comfortable with basic technology and scheduling.
